Marcia Bernadette has been fusing since she took her first class in 2009, at the former Art Glass Fusing Center in Austin, TX. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Prairie View A & M University and is an avid kiln formed art glass collector, especially mid-century.

Marcia has created and shared cold working techniques that can save artists money and make it easier for artists with physical limitations in their hands to achieve quality work. She has been exploring color density for over 3 years to answer the questions: “How can glass blowers achieve so much depth, with so little color?” and, “How can we, as kiln formed glass artists, achieve a similar look and change the way we use and think about color?”
